It started with our own bad water.
The Ekocare unit was born out of frustration at needing quality water for irrigation and household use, and not having it.
High iron, lime and scaling were the problems that drove us. After years of experimenting we developed a system that does not just strip out iron and lime - it visibly improves plant growth as well.
Every unit is manufactured locally, here in Cape Town, from the highest quality material available to us. That is the reason we can put a ten-year guarantee on the stainless steel body and a two-year guarantee on the Electron Booster, and mean it.
Installation is DIY-friendly if you are handy, or one of our agents will do it for a minimal fee. We also supply and fit granular activated carbon filters, sediment filters and whatever else your water analysis calls for.

Why the chlorine goes
Algae needs untreated water to live in.
Conditioned water is a poor habitat for algae. In our experience the unit does not only stop it establishing - given time, it kills off what is already there.
We have left sample bottles standing for a month at a time to watch this happen: algae takes hold in the untreated bottle while the conditioned one stays clear. It is the reason our customers stop buying chlorine.
